We truly enjoyed our very big room.
We would recommend the place. Had private bathroom with all essentials. What's more, it was within 400 feet of the lake.
We would still recommend it to friends, book this hotel. First time we had a great experience in East Brunswick.
It was very quiet in our room and the breakfast was great.
It was hard to find and get too for an out of towner. The traffic down there is bad and the signage is bad too.
Great staff, super clean and nice breakfast, very good value for the money !
The front desk. Staff and dining room staff were so friendly and helpful.
The noisey air con
Over all location good. Kind of pricey for retirees
Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful.
the hotel was okay the only thing we disliked was the cleanliness. it was dirty and gross in some places. The room should have been cleaned a lot better than it was. If you want to go anywhere you will have to drive at least 30 minutes.
I wasn't looking for a 5 star hotel for my quick stay. The Holiday Inn was just what we needed for a reasonable price. The staff was nice, room was clean, and they even offered a free breakfast! I would stay again.
The fact that $50 a day was charged extra and then taken off. I was not informed about that.
It was comfortable and affordable, while still having amenities like breakfast and a fitness center and pool. It was close to Edison, where I had business.
It was literally right off of the highway. This was convenient after a long journey, but it was a bit distracting at night when cars were going by and you could hear horns.
Good location, good breakfast and pleasant breakfast room staff.
They spray obnoxious smelling products in the hotel and on the mattress daily. It is a horrible smell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe they are trying to cover up the smell of mold? I am very sensitive to chemical sprays and it was a challenge to stay there. However, all the hotels in NJ seem to use these odor cover-up sprays. So, you are kind of stuck with it. Very frustrating!!! Not customer friendly.
Breakfast was very good. Cookies at check in were a nice touch. Front desk was very courteous. He ordered us a cab, gave us menus to order out. We tipped him well for his professionalism.
Not the holiday inns fault, but Went to a concert less than 5 miles away. Blessed cab charged us $25 plus tip to get there. Kelly charged us $20 plus tip to get home. Seemed very expensive. Considering we picked a hotel "close" to the Starland ballroom.
We stayed there for a week. Every person working at reception was extremely helpful and friendly. Beds were very comfortable with soft pillows. Wifi was working well. Breakfast had everything you need to fuel yourself up for a day! Cheese omelets were delicious and Sandy was a great hostess! Coffee was exquisite as well! The hotel is very close to the bus stop, which you can use to go to New York (only 40 minutes journey on a good day).
I really wish there was some sort of evening bar, so we didn't have to go to Hilton's for drinks and something to eat in the evening.
Jorge and Robbie at the front desk were extremely helpful, and compassionate to our needs,as we were there for a family members funeral. Sandy, in the breakfast cafe was amazing as well. We appreciated their support throughout our stay. The room was clean, quiet, and nicely decorated. The housekeeping staff was always pleasant and available. Linens and pillows were of good quality and very clean. All of our requests were promptly taken care of. Very nice property. We would return and recommend. This hotel in the future.
Our only complaint was the hard, lumpy beds. Both queen beds were awful, and in need of replacement. Leaving us exhausted and uncomfortable. Also, there was one female night desk employee who was inattentive and rude.
